I am pretty confident that most of us are familiar with the idiom, “Curiosity killed the cat…” but most of us don’t know the second half of the statement, “…but satisfaction brought it back.” So, we use the first half of the saying as a warning: Be careful of the dangers of unnecessary investigation or experimentation! But the second part -- "satisfaction brought it back" -- shows that the risk might be worth it. It is our hope that this new series, “Curious: God’s Answers to Your Curious Questions” will eliminate any “danger” that you might associate with a curious question, and then when we see God’s answer the “risk” we’ve taken will indeed be worth it! Today, “Practice, Practice, Practice…How can I grow my faith?” FOLLOW ALONG WITH MSG NOTES -->CLICK HERE<--

The bible is full of characters whom we can learn a great deal from. Over the course of the last seven weeks we have examined the lives of seven of them. One thing that becomes clear is that the men and women of scripture were people just like us! They were prone toweakness, but yet full of potential when God becomes their strength. As we come to the end of our “Cast of Characters” series, our hope is that this series has been just a beginning of your own examination of the characters in scripture. Their lives are proof of God’s never failing love and enduring faithfulness to all who place their trust in Him!

Every great play, great movie, even a community play, has a cast of talented individuals that play characters from history or characters that the playwright has created. We fall in love with some, we question others, and some are just “characters”. Our Summer series at Crossroads “Cast of Characters: Ancient Examples of Relevant Wisdom”, will explore some beloved Old Testament personalities and examine some “characters.” These seven “Characters” Noah, Abraham, Moses, Ruth, Joseph, Saul, and David will assist us in making Godly decisions; learn what to do and not to do; and challenge us to grow our faith. Today, Saul.
