Virtually not a day goes by without OUR FAITH being challenged in some way and by someone. Here’s a response… HEY JUDE! No, not the Beatle’s song, but a shout out to Jude in scripture to help us CONTEND for our faith! To contend is “to struggle against opposition…to compete…to debate.” We use this phrase when we speak of athletic teams contending for a playoff spot; a boxer who is a ‘number 1 contender’; or individuals contending for political office. While we are separated by 21 centuries of time from Jude…the message of this small New Testament book is as relevant today as it was in the first century. So, with Jude as our guide we are going to study these 25 verses over the next four weeks, because, OUR FAITH is worth the struggle!
